Holiday Celebrations
Mike and Dwayne started the celebration with brunch on Christmas Eve morning. They invited the barn staff into their home. On Christmas Eve, they traveled around the corner for dinner with the Shreve/Bissell family – Robbin, Jim, Paige and Jack. Then Mike created a sumptuous Christmas dinner that included curried pumpkin soup, roast turkey with apple raisin dressing and one with sausage and sage, and homemade cranberry sauce. Enjoying this meal were Greg and Jess Knowles, John Velardi and Sharon Picus.
Dianne and Emily Lents enjoyed a few days at Universal Orlando Resort in Florida. One of their most favorite activities was challenging each other with wands in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Then they headed to the farm in Castleton, VA, to celebrate Christmas. Emily boarded another plane to return to Colorado to bring in the New Year.
Cindy Nord enjoyed Christmas Day with her grandson, Evan Peterson and his wife, Margie and their eight-month-old son, Woods. The family also shared a video of Woods during a giggle fest that had everyone laughing along with him.

New Additions
Laurie Sterling recently adopted a 3 ½ year old Greyhound. Her racing name was GS Trixie, and Laurie’s Goddaughter gave her the nickname of Pyrnee, from the book ‘The Scarlet Letter.’ On December 4th, Pyrnee won her last race at Orange Park, FL. A friend of Laurie’s from Pocono Greyhound Adoption gave her a ride to PA. Even though she’s never been in a house before, Laurie says she’s adapting well and is super sweet. Pyrnee is getting along with Laurie’s other Greyhound, Piper, and the Springer, Dover.
Dwayne and Mike are glad the installation of the lighting project is complete in the barn and indoor arena. They are pleased with the new LED lights.
