Changing Stalls

Emily Lents is excited about her new purchase, LSSM Queen’s Special Flaire. Former trainer Amanda DuPont rode him to the World Four-Year-Old Hunter Pleasure Championship. Freddie will continue his show career under the direction of Broadmoor.

Congratulations to the Cavins Family on their acquisition of Get Lucky (Get Busy x Stony Hollow The Dutchess). Lucky’s show career will continue under the direction of Mary Shappee, for their daughter, Corley, to show.

Horse Show Review

We showed 15 horses at the Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  We came home with ten World Championship, five Reserve World Championship and six Grand National Championship ribbons.

Kim Cramer won the World Ladies English Pleasure Championship for the fourth time riding her mare, Blurred Lines.

Congratulations to Allyson Nord Wandtke and her gelding, What’s Up, for winning the World Amateur English Pleasure Championship unanimously. They have won this title three years in a row. A big shout out to Allyson for winning this amateur title six times with CBMF Restless GCH.

News from the Broadmoor Gang

Recently on Facebook, Linda Brewer shared with friends about breaking her elbow his past summer. She now has eight screws and a titanium plate, and is working with physical therapists. They set three goals: 1) clean stalls, 2) ride horses, and 3) open wine bottles independently. In this post she assured friends that she had already nailed #3.

Emily and Dianne Lents coordinated the Broadmoor Gang’s donation to the Barn Bucket fund-raiser for the National Museum of the Morgan Horse. It was a Margaritaville basket. Overall the basket was filled with more than 20 fun and edible items. The event raised more than $10,000.

In a few weeks, Dwayne, Mike and John are off to the Superior Sale in Indiana. Good Morgans LLC, Kim Cramer, consigned Brown Eyed Girl (Ingates Eye of the Tiger x MIZ Saturn Star) to the sale. The coming four-year-old, who rides and drives, will be ridden by John during the bidding.
